2nd Annual Let It Ride Poker Run
Saturday, June 6, 2009
11:00am until 4:00pm
Registration starts at 11:00am at the Dare to Care Warehouse, 5803 Fern Valley Road. Stops along the scenic route include Two-Lane Package Liquor and Bar, Little Flock, a Dare to Care Facility and Steel Horse Package Liquor. The ride finishes at Captain's Quarters Riverside Grill with entertainment, door prizes and more!
Registration is only $10 per rider, per hand.
There's no limit on the number of hands.
Cash prize for best hand, second hand, and worst hand.
50/50 split the pot.
The first 200 to register will receive a Dare to Care Poker Run T-shirt and will be entered in a drawing for two tickets to see Journey & Heart
in concert at the KY State Fair on August 21st.
100% of the proceeds to benefit Dare to Care Food Bank.

The Hunger Walk

Fight Hunger Every Step of the Way!
Fight hunger and have a great day out at the 31st Annual Hunger Walk & Run. Festivities start at 12:00noon, with the walk & run starting at 2:15 pm on a 5K course that will cross the George Rogers Clark bridge and return to the Festival Plaza where a Fun Fair and Expo will await all participants.
How to Be a Part of This Great Event
Race packages will be available on the day of the event at Waterfront Park's Festival Plaza between 12 noon and 2 pm. Registered participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, a goody bag, refreshments, and be eligible for race prizes.
Adults:
$25 before October 14, $35 late registration
Youth (18 and under):
$15 before October 14, $25 late registration
Making a World of Difference
All net proceeds from The Hunger Walk will benefit Dare to Care Food Bank and The World Food Program. 75% of the net proceeds will go to Dare to Care Food Bank's Emergency Food Purchasing Program providing nutritious food, including produce, to over 100,000 people in Kentucky and southern Indiana. The remaining 25% of the net proceeds will go to The World Food Program, the world's leading international hunger relief agency, providing hunger relief to the neediest areas around the globe.
