The Emergency
Food Program is DARE TO CARE FOOD BANK's way of getting food
directly into the hands of families and individuals who are
in crisis situations and don't have money to buy food.
The food for this program is provided
by groups throughout the community that hold food drives. Every can or
package of food and each dollar that is collected as a part
of a DARE TO CARE FOOD BANK food drive benefits the Emergency
Food Program.

Dare to Care Food Bank Campaign
To get the food into the hands of
people in need DARE TO CARE FOOD BANK distributes the food
to 33 neighborhood distribution centers located
throughout the Metro area where there are high concentrations
of people living in poverty. These neighborhood centers
then use the food to provide a four-to-seven day food box based
on need.
We
are firmly and deeply committed to the Emergency Food Program. The
food is always given away to those in need at no cost.
Foods most needed
for this program are high protein and high vitamin canned shelf-stable
products such as:
- Peanut Butter
- Meats
- Tuna Fish
- Fruits
|
- Fruit Juices
- Hearty Soups
- Canned Pastas
- Pasta Toppings
