DARE TO CARE
thanks
 for its many years
of strong support.
Please remember,
Check Out Hunger
the next time you visit your friendly neighborhood Kroger store. |
Check Out Hunger is a program that allows you to easily help feed
the hungry any time you go through the check-out line at Kroger.
Check Out Hunger placards are located in the check-out aisles
near the magazine racks. These placards have tear-off coupons
in denominations of $1.00, $2.00 and $5.00.
Shoppers need only to tear off a coupon for the desired denomination
and hand it to the cashier. The cashier will scan the UPC
and the designated money then goes directly to the Check Out Hunger
fund.
Your Kroger receipt will indicate the amount of money donated. For
tax purposes, just hold onto your receipt.
The total amount of money donated by shoppers is converted into
$5.00 Kroger gift certificates. These certificates are then
given to people in need who turn to DARE TO CARE FOOD BANK for
food assistance.
These certificates are also included when needed with emergency
food boxes. This allows the recipient to obtain fresh meat
and dairy products directly from Kroger.
